The Girrawheen Girls Academy Community Service Program commenced last month and will continue through to Term 4 2018.
The girls worked with Pastor Judy at the Hainsworth Community Centre last year where they gained so much pride and enjoyment in giving back to their local community.
Due to the positive engagement and feedback from last years efforts, the Academy girls have been scheduled to support the Soup Kitchen twice a term this year. Students will prepare the meal on Wednesday afternoons and serve the community on Thursday mornings, which includes supporting the preparation and distribution of food hampers to families and individuals in need.
