Maryborough Academy Already Seeing Results
This morning (Thursday 24th May) the Girls Academy celebrated the official launch of Maryborough Girls Academy. The Academy has been in operation since the commencement of Term 1 and is already seeing some fantastic attendance results! Girls Academy attendance averaged 88.7% for the Term, with 93.13% class attendance for Year Twelves.
The launch was opened by guest speaker Mr Bruce Saunders, MP, Member for Maryborough, alongside Girls Academy CEO and Founder, Ricky Grace. Many thanks to all of our guests who attended this special event.
Girls Academy Queensland Regional Manager Renee Crilly said “Research published last year showed an almost 18% gap in Queensland between Indigenous and Non-Indigenous students finishing high school. With our comprehensive program, we get the girls coming to class, striving to do their best, and planning for their future.”
We look forward to playing a role in Closing the Gap in the Queensland region.
