Gunnedah opens Girls Academy
On the 20th March we proudly launched the opening of the Gunnedah Girls Academy.
We were very privileged to have Minister Sarah Mitchell MLC, (Minister for Early Childhood Education, Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, and Assistant Minister for Education), a former Gunnedah High School student herself, officially open the Academy.
We thank Mr Kevin Anderson MP for welcoming the minister and guests, and extend our thanks to our supporters who not only attended the event but have helped to make the opening of the Gunnedah Girls Academy a reality.
Nestlé Oceania CEO, Mr Trevor Clayton, has been a long term supporter of the Girls Academy and it was fantastic to have him in attendance. The launch event also gave us the opportunity to formally welcome our new sponsors, Whitehaven Coal (Represented by Mr Paul Flynn, Mr Bob Sutherland, Mr Tim Muldoon and Ms Kirsten Gollogy) and Idemitsu Australia Resources (Represented by Mr Yoshihiro Yamomoto, Mr Ray Balks, Mr Steve Kovac and Mr Daniel Yates).
Thank you to all who attended and made this launch such a fantastic event.
We can’t wait to see the amazing outcomes our Gunnedah girls achieve.
