Grant to help students grow (The Daily Liberal, Dubbo)

The Commonwealth Bank presented a grant of $10,000 to the three Girls Academies operating at the Dubbo College campuses. This grant will help us continue to deliver our program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls.
From the report in the Daily Liberal:
Since the Girl’s Academy began in Dubbo, the students have found it a positive influence, not only as students but as young women.
“It’s a place where I can go and talk to people, I’ve made new friends and it’s helped me grow as a young woman,” Year 7 Delroy student Grace Monson said.
“I go to classes more.. before I was always late for classes,” Year 9 Delory student Brooklyn Thomas said of the changes she’s seen within herself since being a part of Girls Academy.
