Herbert Smith Freehills host Careers Fair

Last Wednesday Academy students from Clontarf, Coodanup, Kiara and Girrawheen attended a Careers Fair hosted by Herbert Smith Freehills. There were 12 diverse exhibitors participating in the event:
- Aboriginal Workforce Development Centre
- Cat Haven WA
- Chevron
- Coles
- Department of Finance
- Department of Health
- EY
- Foodbank WA
- Rio Tinto
- RSPCA
- South32, and
- Water Corporation WA
Students were given a passport with a range of questions to ask each exhibitor as they moved around the room. The girls learnt about some of the career paths available within the wide variety of organisations. Herbert Smith Freehills then hosted lunch for the girls and they had a chance to discuss their career goals and reflect on what they had discovered with their peers and mentors. It was a fantastic and insightful afternoon and we look forward to the next one in Term Two!
