Charity Golf Day & Gala Dinner
Eighteen teams teed off in a Charity Golf Day in conjunction with Motorplan and Melville Toyota at the Royal Perth Golf Club to help raise money for the Girls Academy on 28th April.
Over $22,000 was raised which will go towards ‘Closing the Gap’ and reducing common barriers that prevent Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls from completing their education and reaching their full potential.
Following the Golf Day, over 150 people attended a Gala Dinner, including the Honourable Simone McGurk MLA Minister for Child Protection; Women’s Interests; Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence; Community Services.
It was at the Gala Dinner where the Girls Academy announced a new partnership with Melville Toyota, who agreed to support the Clontarf Girls Academy annual Academy Awards to the tune of $4,000. This support will assist the Academy with their all important awards night, which is a culmination of all of the hard work the girls put in throughout the year.
