International Women’s Day 2018: Tamworth police tell Oxley High Girls Academy to challenge themselves

The local constabulary visited Oxley Girls Academy on International Women’s Day to answer questions from the students and encourage them to follow their dreams.
Tamworth Local Land Council worker Samantha Duncan and singer-songwriter Kelsey Iris also spoke to the girls.
Academy program manager Janine Way hoped the event would make the girls realise “no matter what career path they choose” it could be achieved through determination.
The Northern Daily Leader was on hand to take photos and report on the event.
